Block Social Media Sites on BSD School + Guest WiFi - DONE!!
Blocking social media sites on school devices and guest WiFi protects students from harmful and distracting content on the internet, so students can focus on learning and have face-to-face interactions with their peers. This change is supported by recent survey results from the June 2024 BSD Parents Priorities survey, where the majority of parents and staff indicated they want social media blocked from both school and guest WiFi. BSD is planning to implement this change for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
Ensure that School-Issued Devices are Utilized for Educational Purposes Only, both during School Hours and at Home.
Inform Families on Parental Controls on School-Issued Devices
Identify the Methods/Strategies used to Evaluate and Monitor Educational Technology in BSD schools.
Collaborate with BSD to Optimize the Effectiveness of Student AI-use in Schools and Establish Measures to Prevent its Misuse by Students
